About Us ... Who are We?

Blue Sky Festivals & Events is a full-service event management and festival production company.

Since 1985, the leadership of Blue Sky Festivals & Events has been hosting events, organizing tours around the world, facilitating seminars, leading Rites of Passage adventures, managing trade shows, and producing festivals.

Returning to Chico in 2019 to focus on family, friends, and festivals, Blue Sky Festivals & Events was repurposed.

In 2021, the Chico Summer Fest was born and we helped the Paradise-on-Ice event. In 2022, we are adding the Chico Spring Jam and the Wildcat Weekend for CSU Chico Alumni. We are continuing to help the Redondo Beach Riviera Village Summerfest, and the CA Power Sports Expo with our event services.

As a full-service event company, we are focusing on bringing live music events and lifestyle expos to the Chico and Redding areas and supporting several festivals and expos in SoCal.

Blue Sky Event Services is the parent company and is based in Chico, CA. We are focused on creating festivals and events that bring people together to enjoy friends, family, sunshine, good food, and great music.

We are a family run business and everyone is involved.

For our Chico Spring Jam & SummerFest, one of our daughters, Myla Sol helped with some of the art graphics and signage. While our other daughter, Anika Snow managed and organized the event inventory when event supplies were delivered. Our son Kylor helps with photography and videography. Our son Colton is living in Melbourne, Australia, and coaches from afar. Eric also known as "Elbow" comes down from Idaho to help us set up the event and run some of the activities.

My wife, Ronelle managed the front-of-house registration and

welcomes sponsors, vendors entertainers, and guests.

My brother Peter, is full-hands-on deck, helping with

Press Releases, Entertainment, Advertising and Media Relations.

Little brother Greg connected us with many local businesses, brewed

craft beer, and ran the CornHole Tournament, and his wife Christa,

Nephew Quinn and Mimi handled the ticket sales booth, while

Neice Cassidy helped with the social media promotions.

Peter is the Emcee and FestMeister of our events as well as being

an intricate part of the success and production of our events.

As for myself, I lead the team and managed the overall event.

I grew up in Watsonville, CA, and graduated from Hartnell Junior College in 1982, Graduated from Chico State in 1985. I got my roots planted in the event world by running College Spring Break trips to Mazatlan and Cancun. From there, I began helping people as I built a personal development seminar company with my brothers. Then, my brother Peter and I started Lifestyle Events like Snow-Skate-Wake Expos and Car Shows. I kept helping people through Rites-of-Passage journeys with Wilderness Therapy and Adventure Education programs.

From there, I began running festivals in SoCal like the Dana Point Concert Series, Lake Arrowhead Oktoberfest, OC Food & Wine Festivals, Scottish Highland Games, Car Shows, Newport Beach OCtoberfest, and the Mission Viejo Art and Wine Festival. Then in 2019, I moved my family back up to Chico and ran Trade Shows for Incrediwear. The pandemic shut down Trade Shows and gave me time to plan and host the first annual Chico SummerFest. In the winter of 2020-21, I helped the Paradise on Ice Winter Wonderland event to expand and we ran the Chico Spring Jam in April and Chico SummerFest in 2022..

Now in 2023, we are moving on to new adventures like the Chic-O-Berfest and getting ready for the 3rd Annual Chico SummerFest and 2nd Annual Chico Spring Jam. We are also helping the Paradise Park and Rec District with the Paradise on Ice Winter Wonderland event and the CSU Chico Alumni Foundation to host a new style of Alumni Homecoming Weekend... Stay Tuned. In SoCal, we are building the Riviera Village Summer Festival, the Long Beach Seafood Fest, and the CA Power Sports Expo.
